E36 will feature Coach Mike MacDonald, the head men’s basketball coach of the Daemen University Wildcats. Throughout Coach MacDonald’s career, he has been a head coach at the DI, DII, & DII levels. MacDonald began his career as John Beilein’s assistant coach at Canisius University. He then became the head coach at Canisius.

The Daemen U. Wildcats have had quite a run under the tutelage of Coach MacDonald. The 450+ game winner has guided the Wildcats to a 204-82 overall record, an East Coast Conference (ECC) regular season championship, four NCAA tournament berths and the 2021 NCAA Division II East Region championship.

Coach MacDonald’s Wildcats ran the table in the 2024-2025 season with a 26-0 record. In the NCAA DII tournament, Daeman beat Bridgeport 80-68 in the Regional Quarterfinals & lost 79-74 to St. Thomas Aquinas in the Regional Semi-Finals.

Hailed as one of the best coaches in NCAA basketball, Coach Mike MacDonald has earned numerous COY awards and accolades from his peers.
